On the occasion of the 67th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67), the Journalists and Writers Foundation (JWF) is co-organizing 12 different parallel events, both in-person and virtual, in partnership with impactful civil society organizations and educational institutions across the world, including Greece, India, Romania, UK, and the USA.

UN advocacy for women`s rights and working on innovative policy suggestions, civil society inputs to various intergovernmental agencies on the gender-sensitive implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals are among the priority working areas for the Journalists and Writers Foundation. To flourish women`s rights advocates meaningful participation at the CSW 67th Session, the JWF has organized year-long training sessions and empowerment programs for the delegations of women`s rights advocates and youth groups across the world to set a bridge to bring in their successful civil society contributions to different UN platforms.

As CSW67 is back with hybrid mode, there is a great interest in participation from our global partners to raise awareness of the status of women`s rights in their own countries and to share civil society best practices. This year, we are also thrilled to be working with young advocates to highlight their pivotal role in advancing women`s empowerment and girls’ education. The JWF is collaborating with the PES University (India) undergraduate students from various majors and the Model UN Team of Triangle Math and Science Academy (TMSA) (USA / North Carolina) high school students to organize youth-led CSW panels.
